A public interview article featuring our own Makoto Okiyama has been published on "WORK MILL." "WORK MILL" is a platform where people explore and co-create work and life with their own "working" self as the subject (operated by Okamura Corporation).
This article summarizes the public interview "Drawing the place. Leaving the thinking. Connecting to the future. From the perspectives of three visual recording approaches," held on March 12, 2026. Three experts from different fields—graphic recording, scribing, and diagramming—took the stage and discussed the theme of what "records" that go beyond mere documentation and create value really are.
It covers a wide range of topics, including the characteristics and differences of each approach, what they value when recording, the "meaning of human recording" in the AI era, and the future possibilities of visual recording. From Okiyama, the article also introduces the approach unique to diagramming of structuring information and organizing it logically, as well as "KADAI", an issue-visualization app developed by ZUKAI.
