On March 31, 2020, Business Zukai Kenkyujo (the Business Diagram Lab) changed its name to "Zukai Soken" (ZUKAI). The same day, we announced it on note under the title "We are establishing Zukai Soken."
What changed
Zukai Soken is the Business Diagram Lab rebuilt with new activities and a new structure. Our note account has also continued as Zukai Soken since that day.
As Zukai Soken we diagram, in shared formats, not only business models but also complicated concepts such as accounting, co-creation, public policy and environmental issues. When the format is the same, people in different positions can look at the same diagram and talk. We describe ourselves as a "visual think tank" that supports solving social issues and creating new businesses.
At the time of the announcement, some of what we wrote was still at the planning stage.
Before and after
Our name and organizational form changed in the following order.
- January 2018: began as the Business Model Diagram Production Committee
- September 2018: renamed Business Zukai Kenkyujo (the Business Diagram Lab)
- March 31, 2020: renamed Zukai Soken (this announcement)
- April 30, 2020: Zukai Soken established as a general incorporated association
- July 15, 2022: ZUKAI Inc. established
The first legal entity under the name Zukai Soken was the general incorporated association established the following month. The full timeline is on our company page.
