A workshop using the Purpose Model was shown on TV Asahi's "Watashi no Shiawase Jikan," broadcast on October 8, 2026.
"Watashi no Shiawase Jikan" is a program of about two minutes that introduces a moment each person treasures. This episode (No. 1136, "Nara Prefecture: a community gathering") featured the community activities of a person who uses the Purpose Model, and a workshop using the Purpose Model appeared as one scene of those activities.
ZUKAI itself was not interviewed. We were asked to confirm the use of Purpose Model materials for the filming. It was a pleasure to see the model being used as a tool, away from our own hands.
The episode can be watched on TV Asahi's official YouTube channel (in Japanese).
What the Purpose Model is
A blueprint for a co-creation project, built around a purpose (a principle of action for realizing a better society). It shows on a single sheet who is involved, for whom, and to what end.
- The center holds the purpose shared by everyone involved
- The upper half holds the stakeholders who take part, and the lower half holds the active co-creation partners
- Colors show the type of actor (companies, government, citizens, universities and experts)
It is open for anyone to use. There is a tool for building one in the browser, and the full text of the book is free to read.
