Why we set up an office
We used to work mostly online. As in-person work and visitors increased, we needed a place where the team could meet face to face. Another reason is that the work of making diagrams moves forward more easily when we discuss while writing on a whiteboard.
We looked for a place near Jimbocho, Tokyo's book town, because our work began with publishing books, starting with "Business Model 2.0 Visual Guide". One of the reasons we chose this building is that the whole building had been renovated.
In the office we installed original bookshelves made with local timber from Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture. They are designed to work as partitions as well. We will also display the books we have published and the articles that have featured us.
The background to the move is covered in an interview article on the note of HATARABA, the agency that handled the move.
