On July 21, 2026, Purpose Model Studio became available in English.
Purpose Model Studio is a web service where you can draw a Purpose Model in the browser. It is free to use. A Purpose Model is a format that shows, in a single circular diagram, the people and organizations involved in a co-creation project, the purpose of each, and the purpose they all share.
What changed
- We added an English page. Open it at purposemodel.zukai.co/en
- The interface, including buttons and menus, is now in two languages, Japanese and English
Use it when diagramming a project outside Japan, or when drawing together with people who do not use Japanese.
Other updates this summer
In June 2026 we also made the following updates.
- It now works in the main desktop browsers (Safari, Firefox and Edge)
- On smartphones and tablets, you can edit by tapping
- What you draw stays in the browser, so you can pick up where you left off when you reopen it
- You can save a model's data to a file and load it back
- You can add a stakeholder with a single button
About the book
The thinking behind the Purpose Model and its cases are set out in the book "Purpose Model: How to Build Co-Creation That Engages People" (Gakugei Shuppansha). Since October 2026, the full text has been available on note (in Japanese).
