On June 24, 2026, we released Slides, a slide-making tool, in beta. Anyone can sign up and use it without an invitation. All features are free during the beta.
What kind of tool it is
Slides is a web service in which layout, colors and fonts are decided first, and then slides are made just by putting in text, numbers and images. Even when a team hands out a template, colors and fonts change from person to person, and after they are fixed they drift again. Slides prevents this by fixing in advance the parts that decide the look.
A single slide is handled as three layers.
- Frame: background color, gradient and fonts. This is the base of the look of the whole slide
- Content: the skeleton of the layout, made of a header, a footer and cards
- Blocks: what goes inside, such as text, numbers, images and charts
The person in charge can design and lock the frame and the content, and members edit what is inside the blocks.
What you can do
- Lock the layout. Even when the content is edited, the arrangement and structure do not change
- Set colors, fonts and a logo, and they are applied to every document in the workspace
- Prepare templates for each purpose, which members pick and use
- When a member wants to change the look, they can send the change as a "proposal." It is applied when the person in charge approves it
- There are four roles: owner, editor, writer and viewer
- Export to PDF and to PowerPoint format (PPTX) with editable text
- Use it in the browser alone. Nothing needs to be installed
There is no limit on the number of members you invite to a workspace. ZUKAI also uses it to make its own internal documents.
