On June 15, 2026, our CEO, Tetsuro Kondo, spoke in the entry program (startup preparation course) of "TOKYO Co-cial IMPACT," a Tokyo Metropolitan Government program.
The theme was "Types of business models that are both social and economically viable: how to make a business work while tackling a social issue." Drawing on cases from "Business Model 3.0 Visual Guide," he talked about the mechanisms by which those businesses both address a social issue and stand as a business.
TOKYO Co-cial IMPACT and the entry program
"TOKYO Co-cial IMPACT" is a Tokyo Metropolitan Government program that promotes co-creation between companies aiming for both social impact and economic return, and local governments and large companies.
The entry program is its way in: lectures and workshops on what it takes to start and grow a business that aims for both sustainability and growth by solving social issues. It is free to attend and mostly online.
There are three courses. This talk was the fifth session of the seven-session "startup preparation course," for people who want to start a business to solve a social issue. Other sessions covered talks by founders, how to sharpen your understanding of an issue, and finance for social entrepreneurs.
