About This Project
We created the submission format used in the lectures and judging for the business model analysis contest for university students hosted by Benesse Corporation, and served as judges!
To date, ZUKAI has been involved in the Business Model Analysis Contest since 2021, delivering lectures based on the books "Business Model 2.0 Visual Guide" and "The Map of Accounting," and judging student submissions. In this fourth year of involvement, we reviewed the "submission format" that students submit and created a new format.
The new submission format was created so that the "analysis" and "improvement"—how the target business is analyzed and how it is improved—are clearly separated into a Before/After structure. With this kind of format, after analysis, the difference between the original business and the improved business proposal becomes easier to understand.
In addition to a structure broadly divided into left and right halves, we considered the minimum information needed to analyze and improve a business, and organized it into seven items. Specifically, these items are: business overview, customers and challenges, the paradoxical structure, business model diagram, market size, competitive analysis, and hypotheses or conclusions. By dividing the content into these items, we designed it so that the elements necessary for understanding a business are considered naturally.
